WAS ADOLF HITLER A DIVINE SPIRIT

WAS ADOLF HITLER A DIVINE SPIRIT

Michael Walsh

Was Adolf Hitler a divine spirit; was he sent by God to engage the forces of darkness? Is the battle raging still and is his spirit still doing God’s work in other ways?
History’s greatest men and women experienced a phenomenon. Few took personal credit for their achievements.
In the frontlines of World War One’s most apocalyptic battles, to the astonishment of others, Adolf Hitler seemed untouchable, as though he was protected by a divine spirit. Much the same can be said for the rest of his career. Only one man could take Adolf Hitler’s mortal life; Adolf Hitler. He ‘died’ in similar circumstances to Our Lord.
The following are typical of his avowals made during his short period on earth: ‘And, I solemnly declare that Almighty God has chosen me for this task.’ On another occasion, ‘And so I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.  In standing guard against the Jew I am defending the handiwork of the Lord.’
In Mein Kampf the Holy Bible is favourably quoted over 500 times. Adolf Hitler’s fixed belief that he was placed on earth to carry out God’s work has been shared by many others. Classical music has been said to be God’s voice so let us take the great classical composers as an example. I am sure the same applies to all the great arts and revolutionaries. Such intellectual giants have two things in common. They were a power for good not evil, and believed implicitly they were mere tools in the hands of God. (For those interested I have each of their statements).
Like Hitler they do not question the earthly role given to them by God. Typically Beethoven as a 12 year old: ‘Sir. I have a gift that people say comes from God. I believe that to be true.’
Richard Wagner ‘I am being used as the instrument for something higher than my own warrants. I am in the hands of the Immortal Genius I serve for the span of my life and his intention that I complete only what I can achieve.’
Here are just a few great composers who made no secret of their belief that they were pens in the hands of the creator: Ludwig van Beethoven, Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, Joseph Haydn, Giacomo Puccini, George Frederic Handel, Richard Wagner, Charles Gounod, Joannes Brahms, Frédéric Chopin, Dinu Lipatti, Michalangeli, Antonin Dvorak, Anton Bruckner, James Galway, Amalia Rodriguez, John Williams, Herbert von Karajan.
If such a suggestion appears a little difficult to grasp let me test you with something even more difficult. Look at Hitler’s life and what he achieved in such a short period. Can anything else explain the miracles he achieved in such a short period of time?
